Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Field Sales - you can be based anywhere across the North!

*You will need a science related degree to qualify for this role!*

Our client is a molecular diagnostics company that specialises in developing and commercialising a point of need molecular platform for use in patient stratification.

Passionate about playing an important role in the industry, our client is constantly striving to excel and grow within their field. As such, they are now looking for ambitious science graduates to join their Sales team as Business Development Managers!

Role:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company, their offering and the market they work within in order to have valuable conversations with prospects
  • Research key target territories to generate a pipeline of prospects to reach out to
  • Perform regular prospect outreach to your pipeline of targets, introducing the company offering, generating an interest and booking further sales meetings
  • Manage customer accounts, including customer interaction around complaints and technical enquiries
  • Prepare, review and manage distribution contracts
  • Liaise with marketing to create impactful materials which support the generation of new sales opportunities
  • Attend UK and international company and customer events and meetings as required to generate new business

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a science related subject (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential!)
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - you must really enjoy engaging with others on a regular basis
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed
