Responsibilities

  • Acquire new Hardware, Cloud and Services business via the process of prospecting, identifying and targeting appropriate corporate accounts.
  • Tenaciously create and work all opportunities to successful conclusion, via a dedicated & documented sales plan.
  • Execute the prescribed sales activities diligently and/or produce results in line with your GP target plan.
  • Be strategically involved in the sales fulfilment process, including supplier engagement, price negotiations and ultimate project/order delivery.
  • Know how to qualify new customer prospects and opportunities and develop appropriate sales strategies to target them.
  • Must have the ability and confidence to engage with senior people and key influencers (face-to-face).
  • Must be business eloquent (written and verbal), and tech-savvy.
  • Have a keen understanding of the accounting principle of 'profit & loss'.
  • The ability to work effectively in a green fields environment.
  • The ability to work under pressure - from customer, supplier, and manager (it's a result driven environment).

Required Skills

  • You're an individual with B2B sales experience and a proven track record.
  • Your excellent commercial temperament is evident in your ability to build rapport and drive results.
  • Meet all agreed monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
  • Prospect for and register new business accounts as per defined target.
  • Engage new customers (physically or virtually) in the prescribed manner as defined by management - monthly external meeting target to be achieved.
  • Formulate and document specific customer sales strategies per customer.
  • Meticulously populate and update CRM and utilize this tool to generate and manage customer interactions.
  • Maximize all sales opportunities on all products & services in every account (should tie back to the account strategy).
  • Facilitate the effective delivery of solutions associated with each quotation proposal.
  • Report on all opportunities and activities as defined and instructed by the Sales Manager (weekly pipeline document to be submitted).
  • Maintain the agreed upon service levels to all customers always.
  • Be involved in tracking your customer's payment trends and assisting in the effective debtor's collections.
  • Attend and complete all required sales/product training as communicated by management, as well as appropriate self-education and learning.
